Join us for this free workshop at the all new Dubspot LA location featuring instructor and accomplished music producer Esteban Adame (Underground Resistance, EPM, Ican) who will demonstrate many vinyl sampling techniques using Ableton Live and Push. Learn essential sampling tips and tricks that expand production possibilities utilizing Live’s Sampler and Simpler devices, as well as how to incorporate additional hardware such as Akai’s MPC and Elektron’s Octatrack to your workflow.

About Esteban Adame

Esteban Adame is apart of the new wave of artist emerging from the Los Angeles underground. After releasing material under the Planet E label, Esteban partnered up with long time friend and colleague Santiago Salazar to start ICAN Productions. In addition, Esteban is an active member of the Underground Resistance Live act Galaxy to Galaxy. G2G has performed all over the world at venues such as Liquid Room (Tokyo), Berghain (Berlin), Loft (Barcelona), and Fabric (London). Esteban also has solo releases on Underground Quality, Modelhart, and various remixes to his credit.

About This Program

This program is about learning Ableton Live by going through the entire process of being an artist, by developing your own sound through a series of sketches and experimentation. You will also learn the ins and outs of this powerful software through a series of exercises designed to help you master the steps involved in producing your own music. After a level of getting familiar with the tools that Ableton has to offer, you will then develop your sonic ideas into full-length tracks. You will be exposed to a variety of approaches to arrangement and composition, storytelling techniques, ways of creating tension and drama in your music. At the end of the day, it is the sum total of your choices as an artist that define your sound, and levels 2 – 6 will give you the experience of actually completing tracks to add to your portfolio.
