In this video, Josh Bess takes us through an approach to live performance that is quickly becoming popularized by many people with sequencer type setups. Using Ableton Live and Push 2, Josh demonstrates how to manipulate the pattern of the original songs sequence in real time to perform remix, edit, mashup, and create a new approach to performing live. Based on analog or digital sequencer machines, the idea can be applied to any hands-on controller or QWERTY keyboard to apply a human feel to this machine type setup.

Josh Bess is an Ableton Certified Trainer, Musician, Producer, Sound Designer, and Author with expert level knowledge in live electronic performance, while holding a deep appreciation for the modern drum kit. Growing up in New York, Bess has been involved with music from an early age, performing with multiple artists, and employing a wide variety of styles as a percussionist.
